Broadway Billboard Ad Not Coming Down

The "Can't Pee" billboard visible on Broadway is bringing in business, according to a report on NorthJersey.com

The now-infamous bright yellow "Can't Pee?" billboard along Broadway isn't going anywhere, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.

The billboard, located behind Brake World and plainly visible when driving westbound on Broadway, refers sufferers of urinary retention to visit the website www.iCantUrinate.com and to call a related 1-800 hotline -- both of which are operated by the Maywood-based New Jersey Center for Prostate Cancer and Urology.

Dr. Gregory Lovallo, a partner of the New Jersey Center for Prostate Cancer and Urology, told NorthJersey.com that not only had his practice not received any complaints about the ad, it had actually brought in more customers since the ad went up.

Lovallo said the urology group had no intention of taking down the ad, which was designed by Princeton-based marketing communications company Hollyrock Miller.

"This is a simple phrase that brings attention to a medical problem that is common, but is all too commonly left untreated because people are embarrassed to talk about it," Lovallo told NorthJersey.com.

Because it's private property, the borough has no authority in the manner.

Property Maintenance Committee chair George Bate, who initially brought attention to the sign at a meeting of the Broadway Special Improvement District, said he's not yet sure whether they'll be doing anything to fight its placement.

Hey George Bate, Why dont you fight to remove those ridiculous blinking pedestrian signs, and while your at it, call the do nothing police chief and have him send officers to write tickets for all the lazy commuters that get dropped off in the no standing zone everyday.

Adolpho can i please read one patch article without seeing a post by you saying the same exact things over and over again. this article has nothing to do with local politics but you still manage to comment about it. i didnt even like the last majority, but i am tired of hearing about it. they are out lets see what the new mayor and council can do and stop dwelling on the past. you sound very bitter.
just out of curiosity do you work at all, because you post all day long every day?

Take a break, I dont see a comment on the article from you. Your answer leads me to believe that you are a political pawn or a stalker? Which is it? Adolpho is correct, we shouldnt forget.

Adolpho, please ignore Bruce. We have to pray for him. He intentionally tries to argue with everyone in order to get attention. Apparently, he has nothing going on in his live and this is his way to feel important. We should feel sorry for him. I encourage u to pray for him so that he will find peace in his life.
